Help us bring one of San Diego's favorite holiday shopping experiences to life!

Join the Makers Arcade crew for our 2026 Holiday Fair at Broadway Pier on December 12–13, 2026! We're bringing together over 150 curated handmade vendors, live music, creative workshops, interactive art, delicious food and drinks, and plenty of holiday cheer for a weekend celebrating San Diego's creative community.

We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make this festive weekend a success! We have tons of volunteer spots and a wide variety of roles available, and everyone is welcome! Whether you're passionate about supporting local artists, love holiday events, or simply want to get involved in your community, we'd love to have you on our team. No experience necessary!

Volunteers play a huge role in making this event possible. By lending a hand, you're helping us keep event production costs down and participation more affordable for the independent artists and small businesses who make our fairs so special. Plus, you'll get some fun perks in return, including free event admission, a swag bag filled with handmade goodies, complimentary refreshments, and discounts from participating food vendors!

VOLUNTEER F.A.Q.’s

  • Click "Sign-Up Now" to get started! You'll be prompted to log in to your Eventeny account or create one if you're new to the platform. Once logged in, complete the volunteer application, select your preferred shifts, review the terms and conditions, and submit.

  • Yes! Eventeny is our event management platform for volunteer applications, scheduling, and communications. Creating an account is free, and you can sign up using your email address or an existing Google, Apple, or LinkedIn account.

  • We have a variety of opportunities before, during, and after our events! Volunteers may help with event setup, guest check-in, artist and vendor support, creative activities, general event operations, and breakdown. Each shift includes a description of its responsibilities so you can find the best fit.

  • Yes! During the application process, you'll see available shifts along with their dates, start and end times, locations, and descriptions. Select the shifts that work best for your schedule. Some shifts may have limited availability or restrictions on overlapping times.

  • We love flexible volunteers! If you're available at different times throughout the same day and are happy to be assigned wherever help is needed, please select the "FLEXIBLE" shift option rather than signing up for overlapping shifts.

  • Absolutely! You're welcome to select multiple shifts, subject to availability and any shift limits. Eventeny may prevent you from selecting shifts with overlapping times. If you're available for several time slots on the same day, consider choosing the FLEXIBLE option.

  • Not at all! We welcome enthusiastic volunteers with all kinds of backgrounds and experience levels. Many opportunities are beginner-friendly, and our team will provide the information you need to get started.

  • All volunteers must be 16+. Some volunteer opportunities have additional age requirements depending on the responsibilities involved. Please review the age requirements and terms and conditions listed in the application before signing up.

  • We recommend comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes, especially for shifts involving setup, breakdown, or extended periods of standing. Bring a reusable water bottle and any personal essentials. We'll share additional instructions if your assigned role requires anything specific.

  • Once submitted, Eventeny will display a confirmation page where you can review your application. Our team will use Eventeny to help coordinate volunteers and share important event information. Keep an eye on your email for updates and instructions.

  • Yes! You can return to your Eventeny application to review or edit your information when editing is available. If you don't see the option to make changes, please email us so we can assist.

  • We love having friends and groups participate! Each volunteer should complete their own application and select available shifts. If you're hoping to volunteer together, please contact our team so we can discuss scheduling possibilities.

  • We're happy to help! If you have questions about your volunteer application, shift selection, or event responsibilities, please email events@makersarcade.com.
